Mike's Journey

Mike was born in Boston on May 25, 1985, and raised in Andover, MA. A natural leader and gifted athlete, he had a passion for the outdoors - specifically golf, swimming, and snowboarding. He was known for his love of hosting gatherings and his ability to bring laughter to every room.

Growing up in Andover and graduating from Andover High in 2003, Mike was driven by a lifelong pursuit of knowledge. This path led him to Burlington, Vermont, for a degree in Finance at Champlain College, and eventually back to Massachusetts to complete a Master's in Analytical Science at Merrimack College. That dedication was evident in his professional life at Takeda Pharmaceutical, where he served as the Global Sourcing Category Manager.

In 2014, he met his future wife, Caitlin McQuade, in Boston. They were married in York, ME, in 2018 and went on to welcome two sons: Lucas John (2019) and Benjamin Francesco (2021). Throughout his life and his brave battle with NUT Carcinoma, his greatest devotion was to his family and the many friends who became family along the way.

Mike's journey came to an end on September 23, 2023, following a battle with a rare cancer known as NUT Carcinoma. He spent his final moments at Brigham and Women's Hospital, returning to the place where his life began in Boston.
